Properties required for Laggings

Properties Required for Good laggings fabric-  The fabric should be stretched repeatedly, and will return almost exactly back to original size and shape.  4 way stretch. Fabrics that only stretch 2 ways will not be comfortable for such a close fitting garment  At least some lycra, spandex or elastane content – these fibers help with recovery, so the fabric doesn’t stretch out and sag after wear  The fabric should be light weight, soft and smooth.  Thick enough not to be see-through when stretched.  The fabric should have resistant to abrasion and the deleterious effects of body oils, perspiration, and detergents.  The fabric should be compatible with other materials, and can be spun with other types of fibers to produce unique fabrics, which have characteristics of both fibers. All the above properties provide by a least percentage of Spandex (Also known as lycra laggings and elastane laggings) for making Good laggings fabrics.

Theory of Uniform conicity

Cone:- Cone is a special kind of package which is conical in shape Taper angle:- taper angle is the angle made between surface of package and x axis In this kind of package the diameter should not be same throughout the length of the package so to get same thickness at all the points on the package to maintain the uniform conicity, hence to make the conical package more amount of wrapped on the base side in single traverse Because we know that the amount of wrapped yarn is directly proportional to the diameter of the package at that points. Thus, we can change the amount of yarn placed at base and nose side by manipulating speed, by manipulating angle of groove in a black driving drum. So we will make angle of grooves in such a way that angle is more at base side and less at Nose side so during winding the yarn will stay more time at base side ( thus, more length of a yarn can be wrapped) and stay very less time at nose side ( thus less no of yarn can be wrapped ) to maintain th
